Some gunmen has on Tuesday evening shot dead an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ukam Efut, at a check point in Imo state.
The incident which happened at Agwa in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State saw the feeling gunmen shoot the police officer, chopped off his manhood and fled with it.
A source revealed that the gunmen met the policeman and his colleagues at a checkpoint and opened fire on them.
The other officers that were with Ukam were luck to have escaped alive but with wounds.
The source the incident happened at about 4pm on Tuesday. He said the deceased officer Ukam Efut and two others “were at the checking point, as usual, where they mounted a roadblock and were collecting money from illegal oil dealers (bunkering)”.
“Mr Ukam, the deceased officer, was shot dead and his penis cut off by his killers and made away with the penis,” he added.
