As the date for All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election draws closer, former governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima, has joined the list of presidential aspirants.
Yerima made his intention known when he spoke with State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he said he would be picking the APC nomination and expression of interest forms immediately.
He said, “I’m here this afternoon to inform Mr. President of my intention to participate in the 2023 elections and to contest the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I’m going to, Insha Allah, purchase my forms today and officially declare this afternoon”.
Yerima said he bent focusing on three critical areas of need, namely insecurity, poverty, and ignorance.
“So, I have three points as well; to fight insecurity, fight poverty, and ignorance,” he said if elected.
