Former Vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has condemned the gruesome murder of Deborah Yakubu by her classmates in Sokoto State.
Ms. Deborah Yakubu, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education was stoned to death and her remains set ablaze by her classmates over what they described as “Blasphemy” against prophet Mohammed.
Atiku, a presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said the killers of the undergraduate must be made to face justice for their action.
“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder.
“Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends,” Atiku said on his verified twitter page on Thursday night.
