Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has blasted those criticizing him of his choice of taking a second wife.
Recall that social media had gone agog few weeks ago when he announced to the world about having a son from his second wife, Judy Austin, who is also an actress.
“It’s time for the world to meet my son. His name is STAR DIKE MUNACHIMSO YUL-EDOCHIE. Born by my second wife @judyaustin1. And I love him so much, just as much as I love my other children,” the actor announced in April.
Following the backlash from fans and the general public, the actor said he has decided to make public his take over the whole issue despite advice from friends and relatives to keep silent on the issue.
“It’s my life. I have the right to wake up in the morning and marry 25 women. If I like I make it up to 50. It is not your business,” the actor said.
“See the kind of energy people are channeling into this issue, my personal issue. That’s why Nigerian politicians don’t take Nigerians seriously. We have alot of issues in this country. Have you all channelled such energy to those issues”? The actor asked.
He criticized youths forming support groups for political parties that haven’t helped the nation grow and still come online to criticize him for taking a second wife. “Shame on all of you; I repeat my self, shame on all of you,” he said.
“Focus on you own life. My life is not your business. Yes I’m a celebrity and I’m very grateful for all that and I’m grateful to the people who loves what I do and have supported my career. But you all must understand that I have my private life and I’m entitled to my private life.
“I can wake up one morning and marry as many wives as I want. I owe only one person an explanation to that and that’s me.
“We have alot of problem facing all of us. Focus on those problems. My family life is not your business” he concluded.
