Rt. Hon. KGB Oguakwa, the frontline aspirant seeking to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency in the forthcoming poll, has expressed optimism that “David will defeat Goliath” at the primary and general election in 2023.
Oguakwa stated this during his series of meetings with all the delegates from the three Council areas that made up the Federal Constituency. The meetings were held at Umuome-Inyi and the venue richly adorned with Gburugburu’s portraits and memorabilia.
Speaking at his well-attended parleys with the Delegates, Barrister Oguakwa urged total loyalty and fierce solidarity with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Of his aspiration to be nominated to fly PDP’s flag at the forthcoming election into the House of Representatives Oguakwa said, “propelled by my unshakable belief in God through Mother Mary’s intercession with her son, our Lord Jesus Christ on my behalf, hopeful for the endorsing imprimatur of Gburugburu the Lion of Nigeria, my Governor, my Leader and Right Honourable Excellency, everyone shall see in the end that, even in this twenty-first century, David can still defeat Goliath”.
Oguakwa, an experienced former Member of the House of Representatives and an indigene of Oji-River LGA, urged the Delegates to seriously consider nominating him at the forthcoming Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party especially since the Awgu LGA incumbent Rep has served 3-terms, and Aninri LGA has held the sub-zone’s terms at the Senate for 19 unbroken years.
“I am not the consensus aspirant of any cabal. I am God’s aspirant. I am an aspirant with Gburugburu’s singular interest at heart. I am the aspirant that truly loves and wants to serve each and every one of you. God willing, if you vote for me, I will represent you well.”
Oguakwa reiterated that his “strong suits are fierce loyalty, forthrightness, experience, competence, knowledge, honesty, inclusive mobilization, humility and unwavering hope and trust in God”.
Oguakwa suggested that his undiluted and unalloyed loyalty to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, his willingness to serve the people, added to his modest cognate legal and legislative experience along with his regard for each individual constituent in Greater Awgu, should make his candidacy a refreshing option for Delegates at the forthcoming primaries. He therefore humbly begged each one of them for their votes.
Stakeholders and Delegates who spoke at the Meetings extolled KGB Oguakwa as a quality representative whose loyalty, track record, humility, humanity, love of Christ, quiet generosity and unfettered accessibility stood him out above other Aspirants. They prayed for God’s blessings upon his aspiration.
