Hon. Mrs Juliet Egbo, one of the loyal and ardent followers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State has won the ticket of the party to contest for Enugu North and Enugu South Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.
Mrs Egbo in 2018 failed to pick the ticket of the party in which she cried foul alleged there was no primary election in her Constituency and as such, the entire process was rigged against her.
Her loyalty has obviously paid off as she has clinged the ticket of the APC in the just concluded primaries of the party in the coal city state.
The retuning officer for the election, Mr. Jude Anigbo said that Mrs Egbo polled a 55 votes to beat her challenger; Nwabueze Obinna, who got 20 votes.
The total number of voters is 130, 76 persons voted and one vote was void.
She will square off with the incumbent, Rt. Hon. Ofor Chukwuegbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
