Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the stepping down of Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for him (Atiku) in the ongoing primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
JOURNALIST101 had reported that Tambuwal, who enjoyed the unflinching support of Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike in 2018 primary election in Port Harcourt stepped down for his Nothern brother (Atiku) few minutes to the commencement of voting.
In a post on his social media accounts, Atiku described Tambuwal’s action as “spirited campaign” and assured he will work with him.
“Thank you, H.E Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, for your spirited campaign. I look forward to working with you as we unite our party and our country. -AA #PDPPresidentialPrimaries”
As at time of this report, the delegates are casting their ballots at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, venue of the primaries.
