Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that the terrorists who attacked St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo town, Ondo State on Sunday intend “to trigger vendetta and national strife”.

Sunday, JOURNALIST101 reported that over 50 worshippers including women and children were mowed down by blood thirsty terrorists that opened fire on them after detonating explosives in the environmental.

The violent attack happened while the church was still on service as they were having their youth thanksgiving and the act has caused massive shock across the nation.

But Sani said neither the Northern part of the country is spared in the bloodletting adding that northerners living in the south shouldn’t be targeted because of the actions of these terrorists.

“The intent of those terrorists is to trigger vendetta and national strife. They spare neither worshipers In the mosques nor in the churches. The North is a daily victim of their violence. Northerners living in the south should not be molested bcos of the evil acts of these terrorists,” Sani wrote on his verified Twitter handle
