The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), said they have commenced restoration of its outgoing feeders in their areas of coverage, following the restoration of the National grid.
On Sunday, EEDC informed “her esteemed customers of a system collapse which occurred at 6.49pm this evening, Sunday, 12th June, 2022.”
According to Emeka Eze, Head of Cooperate Communication said the collapse affected all our outgoing feeders, thus, “affected supply to our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.”
But in a public notice sent to JOURNALIST101, Mr. Ezeh told “her esteemed customers that it has since commenced restoration of its outgoing feeders, following the restoration of the National grid which collapsed yesterday evening,
“However, due to the low energy allocation to EEDC, occasioned by the poor generation, some of our feeders are currently put on System Loadshedding by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
“We therefore thank our esteemed customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States for their support and understanding during the period we lost supply, while assuring them of our continued commitment towards providing improved services,” Ezeh said.
