Former aide to Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has placed a $1000 bounty on an Instagram user that threatened to harm his daughter.
The Instagram user by name @realex_2x, threatened to harm Omorki’s daughter simply because he reposted a video of Mbaka calling Peter Obi ‘a stingy man’.
Responding to the video, the Instagram user wrote, “Reno don’t get me upset. Now delete this post or you’re going to see what I gonna do to your daughter.”
Mr. Omokri who didn’t find it funny immediately promised a $500 reward to anyone who can reveal the true identity of the person.
He said he has reported the matter to the Department of State Services, DSS. He also increased the stake to $1000.
Reacting to the threat, he wrote in Thursday morning, “Dear citizens of Nigeria,
Please can you help me identify this fellow who goes by @realex_2x on Instagram. I hereby increase the reward to $1000 to anybody who exposes his true identity. I am also petitioning the Department of State Security. If anything happens to my daughter, even if she gets a headache, the response will not be gentle.
“This person should not think they will get away Scot free, even if they deactivate their account. I WILL find you, even if it means hiring a US based lawyer to secure a court order compelling Instagram to reveal your true identity and the exact IP address where you log in from.
“I am not even the one that made the comment that annoyed him. It was made by Reverend Father Mbaka. And I condemned it in the video. I said the church should not be involved in politics. Even if you support Peter Obi, it is not, and I repeat, it is not okay for you to threaten my children. Is this the Nigeria we want? Where your children are threatened if you don’t support someone’s ambition?
“Some of you also have children. Will you accept this? Why threaten my child with harm just because of politics?”.
