A Lagos Voter has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to look into the existence of a pooling unit in front of the House of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sharing a private message he received from the prospective voter, investigative journalist, David Hundeyin called on the electoral umpire to look at the complaint as this could make voters have a negative impression.
The voter in the message wrote:
“Hello, my polling unit is in front of Tinubu’s house on Bourdillon in Ikoyi. I need your help to help raise awareness to INEC/Other parties that it’s unfair practice to have a polling unit at a candidate’s house.
“I’m a housewife and I’m not political but this time, I feel I need to do my part. I have got my PVC but I don’t feel safe going to Tinubu’s House to cast my vote.
“He’ll have his people there… This happened during the last elections and we didn’t vote because of it…”
