The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike is currently giving his own account of what exactly transpired at the last presidential primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike, who’s currently chatting with the media Sir in Port Harcourt, said Ayu was personally campaigning for Atiku and calling other aspirants to stepdown so he (Wike) won’t win.
The Rivers Governor further stated that Ayu threatened to resign if he wins the presidential election.
“How can an umpire that’s supposed to be neutral take side”, Wike asked.
Wike also accused the former Senate President, David Mark of doing the unthinkable during the primary election. He said that allowing Tambuwal to speak for the second time after his first speech was a breach of protocol and he should have stopped the election at that point.
