Beloved Sisters

Beloved Sisters Nigeria; a political pressure group with members across the 260 political wards in Enugu State, has assured the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Barr Peter Mbah that they will mobilize registered voters in the rural areas for his electoral victory in the 2023 general election.

Lady Adaeze Ogbu, the Director General of Beloved Sisters gave the assurance on Tuesday, when she led over 500 members of the group to the campaign office of the PDP in Enugu State.

“Beloved Sisters are ready for the election. We have a leader that’s vying for Governorship in Enugu State under the PDP and we believe in the PDP to deliver Peter Mbah and other candidates of the party in forthcoming election.

Speaking about the structures they have on ground to drive the campaign, Lady Ogbu said: “We’ve Directors in the 17 Local Government Areas, coordinators in the 260 wards. And in each local government, we have 13 executives and 11 in each ward. We can boast of up to 3740 members for now and more people are willing to join us.

“Our Permanent Voters Card (PVC) will speak for the PDP and its one of our criteria for accepting new members. Our voter’s card is our electoral weapon and passbook to winning the next elections. We all have it and I believe my members will work with me to deliver our candidates.”

Hailing the choice of Asogwa as the DG of the campaign, she said, “We came to tell you we are with you as the DG because we believe in your capacity to deliver PDP in the forthcoming elections. You did it in 2015 when you were the party chairman, and we know you will do it again.

Welcoming the group, the Director General of Peter Mbah campaign organisation, Ikeje Asogwa hailed the group for their unprecedented loyalty to the party.

He charged them to get ready, adding that
“We’re preparing for campaign and election. This campaign is going to be grassroot driven, thus, all of you have pivotal role to play.

“We enjoy the support you’re giving us and we appreciate it so much and we want you to continue supporting us so we can win this election for the benefit of all of us.

Also addressing the group, Rita Mbah, the women coordinator of Peter Mbah welcomed and advised them to be strategic and consistent in one thing they chose to do for the campaign “because you’re going to be remembered like never before when the election must have been won.”
