The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the convoy of Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International.
JOURNALIST101 had reported that the convoy of Apostle Suleman came under heavy attack at Waraka road in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor confirmed the incident in Benin City.
He said three police men lost their lives in the process with two civilian drivers and one female domestic staff.
Chidi Nwabuzor said the Auchi Police Division swung into action and gunned down one of the hoodlums.
The PPRO noted that one of the vehicles used by the assailants was recovered in the process even as search is ongoing for one domestic staff who is currently missing.
He assured that Apostle Suleman is alive and well.
Suleman in a short video posted after the attack said they just opened fire on him.
