Mr. Oyibo Chukwu, the candidate of the Labour Party for Enugu East Senatorial Zone election has been reportedly assassinated.
The incident an inside source told JOURNALIST101 reportedly happened along Amechi Awkunanaw in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
A source who doesn’t want to be named said Oyibo Chukwu was assassinated alongside his driver.
“Our Candidate is dead! He was killed inside his campaign vehicle; a Sienna bus,” the source said.
“We finished Campaign in parts of Nkanu West and he was heading home before the assailants attacked him and killed him.”
Similarly, the campaign vehicle of the Enugu North and South Federal Constituency of the PDP was attacked alongside the same road.
The driver of the vehicle is feared dead after the attack. He was burnt to death.
