The Peoples Democratic Party’s Candidate for Enugu State House of Assembly in Uzo Uwani Constituency, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, has assured “the Constituency would witness a dimension of quality and robust legislative representation, if elected to serve the district in the march 18th Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.”
The Candidate also pledged to sponsor bills and bring up motions that would help to create enabling environment for youths and women of the Constituency alike, especially in the area of job creation, skill acquisition, empowerment and farming.
Hon. Ekwueme who spoke during his visits to Mbanano development centre which include Umulokpa, Ukpata, Adaba and Nkume a few days ago, while soliciting for supports ahead of the forthcoming general elections in the state, also said he understood what the Constituency wanted from him.
“Our Constituency is a rural Constituency, peopled by farmers and unemployed youths, unlike it peers across the state.
“My job is to create enabling environment for these farmers, through sponsorship of healthy bills and motions that will bring about mechanized farming in the Constituency.
“On the part of youths, especially those needing skills and empowerment, I will liaise with state agencies such as the SME centre and others of its likes to help our people.
“I know I will be lawmaker for youths and farmers because of the nature of my Constituency, So I understand all that”, he concluded.
