Odimma Enugu West; a pro democracy group, has congratulated the Enugu Governor-elect, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and all elected officers in Enugu West over their victories at the just concluded polls in the state.
The group in a statement signed by its president, Agu Ifeanyi Destiny and Secretary, Umeayo Vitalis noted that their victories is an for outstanding service to Enugu State.
The group also called on politicians to maintain a peaceful and orderly atmosphere in the state as it’s the only panacea for the growth and development of the state.
The statement reads:
“We the Odimma Enugu West, a pro democracy group for Enugu West Senatorial Zone, deems it imperative to congratulate all elected public officers in Udi, Ezeagu, Aninri, Oji River and Awgu ranging from Governorship, House of Representatives and House of Assembly. We wish to congratulate Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah (Enugu State Governor Elect) and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai (Enugu State Deputy Governor Elect) on their victory during the 2023 Governorship election.
“Indeed, it was a hard-fought campaign of which our team took active part in cracking the hard nuts with so much dedication and efforts, enlightening citizens through campaign to enfranchise as it is their inalienable fundamental rights. Perhaps, It gives us a renewed faith in the system as we welcome a fresh administration with high prudence that your governance will continue to encourage our proud tradition of progress in Enugu state.
“While we are proud of your success and outstanding victory at the poll, we reiterate that any aggrieved individual, party or group that outrightly wishes to approach the Judiciary for redress, is believed to be following democratic procedures, but should maintain peace, love and unity in the state.
“Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, having followed your manifestos carefully, we have believed in your energy and vision hoping it hatches positivity for Ndi Enugu West and Enugu State at large. The love and support from Enugu West Senatorial Zone have remained uncovered since election votes are visible. However, we request that the most critical problem in these areas are looked into as thousands of us are counting on you. This victory clearly acknowledges your outstanding service to Enugu State as well as our district’s trust in you.
“We wish you a successful administration and anticipate for real change in the coming years.”
