The elected 260 ward councillors in Enugu have congratulated the new Governor of the state, Barr Peter Mbah, following his Swearing-in on Monday.
In a statement made available to Journalist101, Hon. Nnamdi Odo, Coordinating Leader 260 ward Councillors expressed optimism that Mbah’s administration will herald “the beginning of a prosperous future for our state.”
Hon. Odo thanked the electorates for making a bold statement and electing Mbah who will champion “the beginning of a prosperous future for our state,” and “is coming with disruptive innovation in governance.”
The statement reads:
“Finally the long awaited day of Inauguration has come and we are full of Joy with the new prospects it brings for ndi Enugu. We have no doubt that the administration of our new Governor, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah will be the beginning of a prosperous future for our state.
“Ndi Enugu made the right choice when they gave Peter Mbah their mandate, he is coming with disruptive innovation in governance. We have seen the vision and blueprint and believe it will transform Enugu State.
“We, the 260 ward Councillors in Enugu State wish to congratulate our new Governor and his deputy as they get sworn in today. As the government grassroots structure across
the state, we will key in our various wards to the developmental agenda of the new administration.
“We have no doubt that this administration will be a robust one for councillors in the state to thrive in the system as we look forward to constant engagement with His Excellency to help deliver dividends of the administration to our people.
