From our days in Premier Secondary School Ukehe, Stainless (as he was popularly known) had always exuded an enterprising aura. He isn’t the type to shy away from responsibilities; he rather took them on, always asking, “What’s the worst thing that could happen?”

My name is Mr. Friday Aroh, and I want to tell my people of Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani federal constituency, about the exploits of our very own Honorable Stainless Chijioke Nwodo.

About two months ago, Honorable Stainless was sworn in as the member representing the Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani federal constituency in the federal House of Representatives. The ceremony was impressive in the way it was conducted: professional all through. I will be doing humanity a disservice of I don’t point the things that caught my fancy.

During the campaign season, Honorable Stainless toured various parts of the Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani constituency, intimating the locals of his plans, educating the traditional rulers of his intentions, and rolling out development models which he intends to utilize for the all-round transformation of specific parts of our constituency.

The passion and intensity with which he explained his ideas reminded me of the Old Stainless of Premier Secondary School. Nothing is routine to him. No matter how many times he does a thing, or carries out an activity, he always discovers new ways of spicing it up. It didn’t matter how gigantic or infinitesimal the task was, Stainless would carry it out so passionately as though his life depended on it. That was a trait I picked from him. He may or may not have noticed, but I imbibed that spirit of “what is ought to be done, is ought to be done well” (which is a biblical maxim Stainless strongly believes in) by learning from him. It made me treat seemingly insignificant details with great, thorough care. It spread to every aspect of my life: family, work, friends, career, and religion. That was the Stainless effect!

I learned, not quite long ago, that Honorable Stainless had set up a team of competent individuals, with energy and vigour, to reach his people especially those at the grassroots. He intends to take the best brains along the ride of transforming every nook and cranny of the Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani constituency into being fully developed, and economically independent. I was intimated about his plans to work with the relevant stakeholders to revive the Adada Rice in Uzo-uwani. Several foreign investors have been contacted on this project and the feedback from them is astounding. Very soon, factories and mini-industries would start sprouting all over the Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani constituency. They’re going to experience the Stainless effect!

I also had a productive chat with his Chief of Staff who further informed me of Stainless’ plans on health care, education, and youth empowerment. I was awe-struck at the intricacy and complexity of the plans. I must say that the people of Igbo-etiti/Uzo-uwani struck a goldmine when they voted for Stainless earlier this year. The Stainless I know will challenge himself with new possibilities, and innovative ways of rendering federal services to his people. I urge all the sons and daughters of Igbo-etiti and Uzo-uwani to partner with Stainless and work with him. Light has come to Uzo-uwani/Igbo-etiti, and that light will shine so brightly that people will come from all over Nigeria to learn the Stainless model of people oriented representation.

Furthermore, I was also informed that Honorable Stainless made sensitive appointments even from areas where he lost votes during the February election. This shows a leader that plays politics without bitterness. I learned that he has assigned specific roles to  his aides with expected service delivery, subject to routine supervision on their objectives. Once everything has been put in order, programs will be rolled out, foreign investors will be invited, local and International NGOs are being invited to come partner with the Stainless movement which is aimed towards improving Uzo-uwani/Igbo-elite constituency.

Stainless has always been benevolent and magnanimous. He doesn’t limit his political actions to his political party. He works with people/politicians across other political parties. He has demonstrated that there is no need for bitterness or undue rivalry in politics. I encourage young aspiring politicians to learn from his model of politics. His philosophy is premised on service to the people. Politicians like Stainless are what our country Nigeria needs right now. We need leaders who put their people’s needs ahead of theirs. Leaders who are compassionate, empathetic, and God-fearing. Leaders with plans and projects for their people. I strongly believe that Stainless will surpass all expectations and place Uzo-uwani/Igbo-etiti Federal Constituency on a pedestal.

In conclusion, Stainless is a friend turned brother. I have always held him in high esteem. Their is no ethnicity, nepotism or tribalism with him. Once he identifies character, capacity and humility in an individual, he goes out of his way to help him/her achieve their objectives as long as it is within his power to grant such. He has always been competent right from day one. I have unwavering faith in his ability to get the job done like he always does. People of Uzo-uwani and Igbo-etiti did the right thing when they stood under the rain and sun to cast their votes for him. He will NEVER let those votes go to waste.

Finally, every son and daughter of Uzo-uwani/Igbo-etiti constituency should support Stainless, praying effectively and fervently for him. Asking God to guide and protect him even as he discharges his duties judiciously.

Honorable Stainless Chijioke Nwodo, my friend and my brother! May the good lord guide and protect you all the days of your life. Amen

I am still my humble self, Friday Aroh, your friend for life. Yagazie.
