The saying “good deeds never go unrewarded” resonates with what happened over the weekend at Niger State when the set of 1993 of Science College Kagara Old Boys Association honoured the Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Aderemi Adeoye.

The students recalled the impact of the police Boss in their lives in 1989 when CP Adeoye thought them integrated science during his National Youth Service Corps.

According to the students, CP Adeoye’s style of teaching brought them closer to sciences and in recognition of his efforts, to presented him with “Award of Excellency”.

The chairman and headboy of set 93, Shehu Ahmed Madaki said “CP Adeoye took it upon himself to get the best out of us as he conducted extra lessons for us without any pay aside the normal classes. He was like a father to us and he always counsels us to take our studies seriously and be good boys.

“It’s for these efforts and many more that we’re honoring him today.”

In his response, the CP thanked the students for finding him worthy of the award and assured that this will serve as an encouragement to him to do more work for humanity.

The CP who was represented by DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra command, expressed joy that the little effort made over 3 decades ago is being remembered.

Ikenga said CP is also demonstrating this excellent spirit in Nigeria Police Force.
