Wike, Fubara, Rivers Godfatherism
Leloonu Nwabubasa, a former commissioner for employment generation and economic empowerment, Rivers State, has accused FCT minister Nyesom Wike of having some attributes of an emperor.

Nwabuasa made the allegation while reacting to the recent crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly in an attempt to impeach the Governor

Journalist101 recalls that the political atmosphere in the oil rich state got to a crescendo on Sunday when suspected hoodlums set the Assembly complex on fire following reports that the lawmakers where plotting to impeach the Governor, Sim Fubara.

On Monday, the Governor led his supporters to the Assembly complex to see what happened there. On his way, he was attacked with cannons and teargas by security operatives that said they were deployed to the area to forestall breakdown of law and order.

Appearing on Arise Tv’s News tonight, the former commissioner described the current political situation in Rivers as distasteful, adding that the former Governor’s highhandedness and desire to control the state despite is the crux of the crisis.

“Unfortunately, this is not the kind of news that Rivers State should be exporting at a time like this. We are aware about Wike’s tendencies to work as an emperor,” he said.

“The same Wike who said he was not going to impose on the new governor is doing so. We thought Wike had found peace by installing the man he wanted and believed in. We never saw this coming,” he added.
