Comr. Egbo Johnpaul has emerged the Vice President Special Duties of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in the just concluded election.
Journalist101 reports that Comr. Egbo, a student of Enugu State College of Education Technical, emerged victorious after defeating 2 other contestants at the election held at old parade ground, Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja on Saturday, 2nd December, 2023.
Until his election Egbo who will also serve as the National Officer representing Enugu State, was the Director of Special Duties, NANS.
Also elected at the convention are; Comr. Lucky Emonofe who is the new president of NANS and Comr. Babatunde Afeez who was elected as the Senate President of NANS.
Reacting to the development, Enugu state students that expressed happiness over his emergence said they’re confident that Comr. Egbo has the capacity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of students in the country and also be a good ambassador of the Coal City state.
“We the students of Enugu state join other well meaning students across the country to congratulate our own, Comr. Egbo Johnpaul on his election as the Vice President Special Duty of NANS.
“Your Election is without doubt, meritorious and a confirmation that dedication, loyalty and honesty pays. You have shown capacity in the previous position you have occupied, hence, we are confident that you will not only do Enugu proud as a true ambassador, you will serve Nigerian students with dedication and honesty.
“We wish the new leadership of NANS a very successful tenure and pray for them to understand that they hold this position on trust for all of us, as such, should do their best to serve us and not themselves.
