A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Garus Gololo, has issued a strong threat to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Gololo vowed to take a legal action over what he deems the ‘illegal suspension’ of Senator Abdul Ningi.

Gololo emphasized the strong discontent among constituents in the Bauchi senatorial district regarding the suspension of Senator Ningi, suggesting that legal recourse may be pursued to address the matter. He expressed these sentiments while speaking to reporters during an interview.

In Gololo’s words,

“It seems we don’t learn from the past. They forgot that Senator Ningi is an individual who represents millions of people. In the past, Senator Ali Ndume suffered the same humiliation, but he approached the court and there were senators that did the same when they were insulted.”

Asserting the unconstitutional nature of Ningi’s suspension, Gololo highlighted that due process must be followed, emphasizing the need for recall procedures through Ningi’s constituency and senatorial zone.

He also voiced concerns about the perceived diminishing independence of Akpabio in his role.
