It could be recalled that I, Comrade Kennedy Iyere won the Primary of Accord (party) on the 17th March, 2024 as the first candidate to emerge for the 2024 Edo Guber election. I contested the primary and won as a sole aspirant because five other aspirants stepped down for me. I pursued the primary single-handedly without any financial contribution or other inputs from Bright Enabulele, a US-based Edolite who I picked as my Deputy and it was widely reported in the news.
Days after the primary, there was a three-man conspiracy against Me aimed at removing me as a candidate of Accord party and replace me with Bright Enabulele, who I singlehandedly picked as my Deputy, he neither contributed a kobo to the primary nor assisted in any way towards the conduct and success of the primary. Moreover, this same Enabulele, prior to this period of the primary, had not visited Edo State for more than 10 to 15 years.
The three persons behind the conspiracy were Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, Joseph Omorogbee (Accord Edo Chairman) and Osagie Osazuwa. These three men invited Bright Enabulele to Nigeria and assured him that he would be used as a replacement or a substitute for myself after legitimately and lawfully winning the guber primary of Accord Party and picked him as a Running Mate. Enabulele agreed with them and flew down to Nigeria but only to discover that it was impossible to replace me.
In the attempt to defame me, Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, Joseph Omorogbee, Osagie Osazuwa and Tony Curtis hired various bloggers and used them to publish several defamatory and libelous reports against my person, they even wrote to INEC and also led protests to INEC. They even threatened to sue INEC for not removing my name and replacing him with Bright Enabulele, a man who never participated in a primary and had not been to Edo State for over 10 to 15 years.
Enabulele was bankrolling these political miscreants to engage in these acts of shenanigans. While they were doing theirs, he was complimenting their efforts by granting press interviews and parading himself as the Candidate of Accord Party for the 2024 Edo Guber Poll, and this has not stopped till this present time.
When they failed to achieve their plans within the substitution window of INEC, Curtis Eghosa Ugbo has now resulted to issuing serious death threats to me, trailing my activities and so on. Yesterday, Thursday 2nd May, 2024 at exactly 8:57PM, Curtis Eghosa Ugbo sent a death threat voice note to me, assuring that he would kill me and make sure i didn’t participate in the 2024 Edo Guber Poll. He immediately deleted the voice note. This time around based on that voice note, I’m not going to take anything for granted but will go all out to launch a manhunt for Curtis Eghosa Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa because these two men are working together to stop me from participating in the 2024 Edo Guber Poll just because Bright Enabulele is paying and sponsoring them to do so.
They say politics is a dirty game in Nigeria where funny things happen and people exhibit utter desperation just to gain control of political power. Thugs and touts like Curtis Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa exist for that same purpose. This is how upright and credible Nigerians have been forced to chicken out of the political arena, to the extent that Nigeria’s corridor of power is today dominated by reckless unscrupulous politicians.q But for me, I have come to stay, regardless the intimidation and death threats from Curtis Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa. They have forgotten that Comrade Iyere is a fearless and courageous Nigerian who cannot be intimidated by anyone.
Yes, boldness and bravery are my other names! Curtis Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa are wasting their time. I remain the Accord Candidate and the same man at whose instance they have promised to kill me, is still my Running Mate. But the time has come to place these two mischief makers in their right place, which is the Prison.
After sending the death threat, he immediately deleted the message from the WhatsApp platform and that was when he noticed I had listened to it. He was clear with his threat, ‘I AM GOING TO KILL YOU’. Those were his exact words. There will be a manhunt by the Police for Curtis Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa, once they are picked up, Curtis will be taken to the Oba Palace to stand before the Palace and swear that he didn’t tell me HE IS GOING TO KILL ME. Curtis Ugbo and Osagie Osazuwa need to face the Law and be judged by the Laws for the ongoing conspiracy to harm my life.
