The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoSF), Folasade Yemi-Esan, has realigned the ongoing civil service reforms to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to a statement issued by Director of Communications, Mohammed Ahmed, this was announced during the 2024 Civil Service Week, which included a special Juma’ah Prayer at the National Mosque in Abuja.

Yemi-Esan, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Police Affairs, Nasir Gwarzo, emphasised that the civil service has reached a critical stage in the reform process and that it is time to celebrate the successes achieved so far.

She highlighted that the trajectory of the ongoing reform is upward and the speed at which it is going is phenomenal, adding that Nigerians have began to see a Civil Service that is not only transformative but worthy of emulation with any Civil Service in the world.

According to her, “the Civil Service has reached a critical stage in the reform process and this is the right time to celebrate the successes recorded so far.”

She stated that “we have harmonized the 2024 theme of the Civil Service Week, not only to be relevant to Nigeria, but also to align with the global efforts being made by Civil Servants all over the world, especially in Africa.”

She also enjoined the Nigerian public, especially the Muslim Ummah, to continue to pray for the progress of the Nigerian Civil Service in guaranteeing the peace, stability and national development of the country.

Representative of the HoSF, Gwarzo, was joined by some of his colleagues to offer prayers for the Civil Service and the nation, at large.

Among the Transformative Permanent Secretaries, in attendance, were those of the Federal Ministries of Labour and Employment, Ismaila Abubakar, Water Resources and Sanitation, Aliyu Shinkafi Shehu, Communications and Digital Economy, Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo, Environment, Mahmud Adam Kambari, Works, Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, Industry Trade and Investment, Amb. Nura Abba Rimi and Youth Development, Dr. Ahmed Dunama Umar.

The Chief Iman of the National Mosque, Prof. Ibrahim Maqari. prayed that Allah continues to preserve, support and protect the Civil Servants in the delivery of their responsibilities to the nation, in line with the transformative agenda of Mr. President.
