Tragedy struck in Abuja Thursday when well-known crossdresser, affectionately dubbed ‘Abuja Area Mama,’ was found dead in the Banex area of Wuse II on Thursday morning.
The news of his passing has ign Kikiited an outpouring of grief on social media, as fans and followers mourn his loss and pay tribute to his memory.
When reached for comment, Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed that authorities are aware of the situation and are currently investigating, gathering information to shed light on the incident.
“I am with the CP, and that is what they are working on. I will call you back once I get more details,” she told SaharaReporters.
This incident comes just three days after another popular crossdresser in the country, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, regained his freedom after serving time for mutilating the country’s currency, the Naira.
Bobrisky and his friends were captured on camera jubilating over his release on Monday.
Bobrisky served a six-month prison sentence for abuse of naira notes.
