Enugu State Police Command operatives, serving in Thinker’s Corner Division, have arrested 22-year-old Innocent Ishaku for his role in vandalizing cables at a telecommunications mast located at Naira Triangle, along the busy Abakaliki Road in Enugu.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe in a statement issued on Thursday night.
Ndukwe said that the during his arrest, police recovered several lengths of vandalized cables, a significant portion of which had been stripped of their valuable copper components, though the total value remains undetermined.
Additionally, the Operatives seized a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, tools clearly used in his criminal activities.
He assured that investigation is ongoing, and the suspect is expected to be formally arraigned once all pertinent details have been thoroughly examined and documented.
