Security Operatives have successfully rescued six journalists that were kidnapped in the state while travelling to Uyo through Anambra to cover Super Eagles Match with Libya in Akwa Ibom State.
According to earlier reports, the victims were travelling on Wednesday in a bus through Iseke around Ihiala area of Anambra state when they were abducted.
Confirming the incident, Anambra Police Command spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said; “Joint security forces have successfully rescued six members of the media crew who were abducted while travelling from Lagos to Uyo along Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala.”
Ikenga added that “operations are still ongoing for the possible rescue of the seventh crew member.”
