The kind of generations Nigeria has being producing in politics and governance now are, in the majority of cases, generations of shameless incompetent, inconsistent folks. No integrity. It is everything that goes generation of vipers who have no love of the nation and fellow beings at heart.

In Nigeria of today, hardly can you find good men and women with good ideas of governance in politics and in positions who have the love of Nigerians at heart. Even those who are not in positions but are around those in positions of authority seem to enjoy inflicting pains on other fellow Nigerians. Mostly, we have a generation of vipers.

Everywhere you go, you see wickedness and evils being perpetuated by Nigerians against themselves and their fellow beings. No emparty. Laws are obeyed in breaches everywhere. Three days ago, I was travelling, and in a very narrow place, lawless convoys were driving against traffic, chasing everyone away from the road for the supposed big guys in their cars. The big ones are being protected. Those in power think that their lives are more precious and important than the lives of other Nigerians.

That is why, in most cases, our brand of democracy is rooted in the comfort of political class rather than good governance that promotes the greatest good of the greatest happiness of the vast majority of the people. Because of stomach infrastructure, most of these politicians have no shame. What they condemned today they embrace it tomorrow shamelessly. Generations that lacked and have no conscience.

Many of those in power can not survive outside of government. That is why they do anything and just anything to remain in power perpetually. They play God in the lives of others. Time has come that we think of laws that limit the continued participation of people in political offices in perpetuity.
We can not have people who were governors turning around to become senators or other offices. Let other Nigerians be allowed to lead, too.

Nigeria, as a nation, needs to introduce and pursue with vigour ethical and moral standards and code of conduct that can restore Nigeria to state where people are held accountable for their actions and inactions. We can not continue to encourage and give birth to society of anything goes.

In Nigeria of today, hardly can you find good men and women in positions that have the love of Nigerians at heart. Even those who are not in positions seem to enjoy inflicting more pains on other fellow Nigerians. That is why wickedness has overwhelmed and overthrown our land. Even in ecclesiastical cycles, there is wickedness. It is sad. But we will overcome it.
