In a bid to reinforce discipline and professionalism within the Enugu State Command, Commissioner of Police Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, conducted parade drills for officers and personnel of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on April 16, 2025.

Addressing the gathered personnel, CP Giwa stated, “I want to make it unequivocally clear that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards unprofessionalism, extortion, and all forms of corrupt practices. The time for tolerating frivolous, fictitious, or trumped-up petitions for investigation is over.”

The Commissioner urged all personnel to uphold the highest standards of integrity in their duties. “I charge each of you to remain steadfast, diligent, and professional,” he said. “We must all adhere strictly to the law and avoid any form of illegal arrest, prolonged detention, and extortion.”

He further warned that any officer found guilty of misconduct would face severe disciplinary measures, reinforcing his firm stance on maintaining a professional and accountable police force. “Let it be known that those who stray from the path of integrity will not go unpunished,” he concluded.

CP Giwa’s commitment to elevating the standards of the police force is aimed at restoring public confidence and ensuring justice is served without compromise.
