The presidency has clarified that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is actively engaged in the governance of Nigeria, despite his current presence in Europe.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy stated that “His absence is temporary and aligns with the previously communicated timeframe of approximately two weeks.”
Onanuga noted that following his departure from Paris to London over the weekend, President Tinubu has maintained consistent communication with key government officials.
“He is overseeing critical national issues, including issuing directives to security chiefs to tackle emerging threats in various regions of the country.
He added that the President will return to Abuja and resume his duties at Aso Villa following the conclusion of the Easter holiday.
“President Tinubu’s commitment to his role remains steadfast, and his administration continues to operate effectively under his leadership,” the spokesperson added.
“We appreciate the public’s concern and want to reassure all Nigerians that governance is proceeding smoothly without any interruption.”
