The Nnewi Digital Community, in collaboration with Nnewi North Local Government, has unveiled the Nnewi Digital Week 2025, a significant event aimed at boosting innovation, enhancing digital skills, and celebrating Nnewi’s entrepreneurial spirit.

A statement from the event’s convener and Director of Corporate Communications at INNOSON Group, Cornel Osigwe, indicates that the four-day event will take place from 1st to 4th May 2025. It will feature factory tours, a high-profile symposium, health discussions, and an elaborate gala night.

The event will host an impressive lineup of speakers and panelists, including the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South East Development Commission, Mark Okoye; ARISE NEWS Correspondent Emeka Monye; Chief Medical Director of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Professor Joseph Ugboaja; and Bill Achusim, founder of Nnewi Tech Faculty.

Also participating will be Chinelo Mbonu, Community Manager; Hon. Nonso Smart, MD/CEO of ReapFold Property; and Christian Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industries in Anambra State.

Highlights of the event, as detailed in the statement, will feature Factory Visits on 1st May, offering behind-the-scenes tours of leading industries in Nnewi, showcasing innovative manufacturing practices and digital integration. The Digital Symposium and Awards will take place on 2nd May at 9 AM at Nnewi Hotel, with special guest, His Excellency, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State.

Keynote speakers will include top policymakers and industry leaders, such as Engr. Mark Okoye (MD, South East Development Commission), Hon. Chinwe Okoli (SA to Governor on Innovation), Professor Joseph Ugboaja OON (CMD NAUTH), and Dr Okafor Nonso Smart.

Other speakers will include Jide Kene Achufusi, Tosin Yakubu, Emeka Monye, and more. Panel discussions will see tech experts and influencers debating the future of digital transformation in the South East.

Special features will include app launches, with the debut of Buzzy.ng (by Buzzy Technology Solutions) and the PalmShop App (by Freshminds Group). An awards ceremony will honour Nnewi’s most outstanding minds in technology and business.

The statement further emphasised that the event is powered by the Nnewi Digital Community, Nnewi North Local Government, and The Nnewi Hotel, all reflecting a shared commitment to advancing the region’s digital economy.

The Nnewi Digital Week 2025 is described as more than just an event—it’s a movement. Cornel Osigwe stated, “We’re bringing together visionaries, policymakers, and innovators to shape the future of our digital landscape. This is Nnewi’s time to lead, and we invite everyone to be part of this transformative journey.”
