After a week-long negative run, the naira has began to make positive recovery against the dollar on both the official and parallel markets.
At the end of trading on Monday, 13 of May, the naira appreciated to N1,600.4396 per dollar in the Nigeria Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM).
According to the date published on the the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, website, this reflects an appreciation of N5.7128 when compared to the value the local currency traded on Friday— N1,606.1524.
In the parallel market, the local currency also gained N5 as it closed at N1630 per dollar, after exchanging for N1635 per dollar on Friday.
