President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded two fresh nominations to the Senate for confirmation into key leadership positions at the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
In a letter read during plenary on Wednesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu urged the upper legislative chamber to confirm the appointment of Thompson Oludare Sunday as the Managing Director of the NDIC.
The President also requested the confirmation of Kabir Sabo Kataka as Executive Director of the corporation.
Following the reading of the letter, Senate President Akpabio referred the nominations to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions for further legislative action and to report back “as soon as practicable.”
