The people of Mburubu in Nkanu East Local Government Area have hailed Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his outstanding performance in office, describing him as a visionary leader who came prepared to transform Enugu State.
In a press statement commemorating the governor’s two years in office, Chief Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, CEO of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, praised Mbah’s leadership style, calling it development-driven and focused on real service to the people.
“Governor Mbah ushered in a leadership style anchored on development, service to humanity, and real change,” Dr. Onuokaibe stated. “His works are not only visible but speak volumes of a man who came prepared to change the story of Enugu for good.”
Highlighting the transformation of the long-neglected Mburubu–Nkereffi–Nara–Nome road, Dr. Onuokaibe said the people of Mburubu are especially grateful that their community has directly benefitted from the governor’s infrastructure drive.
“For us in Mburubu, we are grateful that our once-neglected Mburubu–Nkereffi and Mburubu–Nara–Nome roads are now part of this developmental stride,” he said.
He noted that Mbah’s administration has undertaken the construction of over 100 kilometers of strategic roads across Enugu, with each political ward benefitting from at least 10 kilometers. The road projects, he said, are opening up rural communities and improving access to education, healthcare, and markets.
“Schools are being rehabilitated, hospitals are getting the needed attention, and the rural-urban divide is gradually disappearing,” he added. “This has rekindled hope in the hearts of ordinary citizens who had lost faith in leadership.”
Dr. Onuokaibe, speaking on behalf of Mburubu people, pledged their unwavering support to Governor Mbah’s administration, describing his achievements as a model not just for Nigeria but for Africa as a whole.
“Our people are happy, our farmers can move their produce with ease, and our children can go to school on better roads. Life is becoming easier because someone at the top is doing the right thing,” he said.
“We believe in his leadership and will support him in every way possible. With our full support, we are confident that his government will continue to shine—not just in Enugu or Nigeria, but across Africa,” he concluded.
