“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was”—Jane Edidiong Ufot makes disturbing accusations in viral video
Jane Edidiong Ufot, daughter of Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno and Senior Special Adviser to the governor on Health, Safety, and Environment, has made shocking allegations against her father, suggesting he may have played a role in the death of her mother, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno, who passed away in September 2024 after an undisclosed illness.
The claims surfaced in a viral video currently making rounds on social media, where Mrs. Ufot refers to her late mother as a “sacrifice” and asserts that she refuses to meet the same fate.
“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” she declared in the footage.
In the emotionally charged clip, Ufot is seen handing her phone to her young daughter, who was on a video call reportedly with Governor Umo Eno. In a heartbreaking moment, the child asked:
“So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us?
Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?”
There was no audible response from the governor during the exchange. Mrs. Ufot did not specify who she referred to as “them,” nor did she clarify the identity of the “baby brother” mentioned by the child. As of press time, the child’s reference to a deceased sibling remains unconfirmed.
Mrs. Ufot went on to suggest that her life, as well as her daughter’s, is under threat due to unknown revelations that, according to her, may soon be made public.
“If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” she said.
Patience Umo Eno, who was the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, died on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Her passing was officially attributed to an undisclosed illness, and since then, details surrounding her health and death have remained private.
The disturbing nature of the video has triggered widespread speculation and concern, though there has been no official response from Governor Umo Eno or the Akwa Ibom State Government as of the time of this report.
