The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retired), has approved the appointment of 12 new permanent secretaries to oversee key ministries in the state.

The announcement was made by Inyingi Brown, the Acting Head of Service, in a special government bulletin released in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, June 3.

According to Brown, the newly appointed permanent secretaries will be formally sworn in by the Sole Administrator in the coming days.

His words: “The newly appointed permanent secretaries will be sworn in by His Excellency, the Administrator of Rivers State, on a date to be announced.”

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are as follows:

  1. Lauretta Davies Dimkpa
  2. Uche R. Ideozu
  3. Chimenum Mpi
  4. Jeremiah Egwu
  5. Nicholas Iminabo Wokoma
  6. Vera Sam Dike
  7. Aleruchi Akani
  8. Imaonyani Roselin
  9. Ep Ephraim-George
  10. Dr. Mina T. Ikuru
  11. Dabite Sokari George
  12. Soibitein Duke Harry

Recall that the Rivers State government under the leadership of Ibas recently disclosed plans to embark on a phased rehabilitation of the State Secretariat Complex.

The rehabilitation project, according to the state government, is targeted at enhancing public service delivery and improving the welfare of civil servants across the state.
