Late Alhaji Aminu Dantata

Renowned Kano businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, has passed away at the age of 94, marking the end of an era for one of Nigeria’s most influential industrialists.

A family member confirmed that the elder statesman died late Friday night at a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), after a brief illness.

Until his death, Dantata was widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most prominent businessmen, industrialists, and philanthropists. His legacy spanned decades of significant investments, charitable initiatives, and contributions to the nation’s economic development.

The funeral arrangements were yet to be announced by his family as at press time on Saturday.
