Abia-born cleric, Reverend Chika Ubani, has expressed strong confidence that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s stellar performance as a former governor, his impactful record as a serving senator, and his well‑established political structures — OUK Movement and Reality Organization — will make his path to victory in the 2027 elections smooth and certain.
Speaking in Umuahia, Rev. Ubani described Kalu as a leader whose achievements continue to resonate with the people of Abia State.
He recalled that many who benefitted from Kalu’s style of governance — notably through timely salary payments, free education, and grassroots empowerment initiatives — have not forgotten his impact and are ready to support him again.
“His record speaks for him,” Ubani said. “Prompt payment of salaries, free education, and various empowerment initiatives were hallmarks of his administration. Those of us who enjoyed these benefits have not forgotten, and majority of these people from Abia North Senatorial District will vote him again in 2027.”
Highlighting Kalu’s deep political roots, Ubani added:
“With OUK Movement and Reality Organization firmly on ground, his political structure is unmatched. These platforms are well rooted across wards and communities and will deliver effortlessly.”
He further praised Kalu’s charisma and connection with the people, saying:
“I admire his charisma. I must admit, I’m even jealous of how loved he is across the state. Whether you agree with him or not, you can’t deny that he connects with people in a way that is rare in politics.”
Ubani also recounted Kalu’s achievements both as governor and as senator, which include the introduction of free education, regular payment of salaries and pensions, construction and rehabilitation of major roads, establishment of educational institutions, provision of solar-powered streetlights and boreholes, sponsorship of pro‑people bills and motions, empowerment of women and youth, and facilitation of federal employment and infrastructure projects.
He concluded by underscoring Kalu’s enduring goodwill and political strength:
“A man with a legacy doesn’t need to speak too much; his work and structure speak for him.”
