Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has extended heartfelt condolences to the Aguma family of Port Harcourt following the passing of their beloved matriarch, Dame Hannah Emmanuel Aguma, a respected community leader in Ikwerre land.

The late Dame Aguma was the wife of the esteemed Rivers-born Ohanaeze chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Aguma, and was widely recognized for her strength, leadership, and unwavering service to humanity.

In a condolence message signed by the Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, the President General, Senator John Azuta Mbata, described Dame Aguma as “an Amazon who made outstanding impact on humanity and stood vigorously with her late husband during his endearing leadership services to Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Nigeria at large.”

Senator Mbata also extended his condolences to the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Rivers State, Mr. Livingstone Wechie, and the entire Rivers State chapter of the organization, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.

He further assured both Mr. Wechie and the Aguma family that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide will participate actively in the burial ceremonies of the late Dame Hannah Aguma.

“We pray that God Almighty may grant her soul eternal rest and the entire Aguma family the strength to bear this inevitable transition,” the statement concluded.
