The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has appointed Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, as the new Acting Head of Service following the sudden death of her predecessor, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, last week Monday.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the FCT, who confirmed that the appointment takes immediate effect.
“Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). She will serve in this capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service,” the statement read.
Until her new role, Mrs. Nathan was the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA. She had earlier served as Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of FCT before her elevation to Permanent Secretary.
The appointment, according to the FCTA, is expected to ensure a smooth administrative transition following the loss of Mrs. Adayilo, who passed away last week.
Olayinka added: “Her wealth of experience within the FCTA, coupled with her proven track record of service, will help maintain stability in the administration at this crucial time.”
