Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu North Local Government Area have declared their full support for the council’s Executive Chairman, Ibenaku Harford Onoh, vowing to work closely with him and align with the leadership of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as the leader of the party in Enugu State.
The party leaders, drawn from the 13 political wards in the local government, made the declaration on Monday during a courtesy visit to Dr. Onoh at the council headquarters. Their message was clear: they stand firmly with him and the new direction of the party in the state.
The APC leaders commended Dr. Onoh’s sterling performance in the past year, particularly in health, education, infrastructure, and human capital development, describing his leadership as a model for inclusive governance.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Ward Chairman of Coal Camp Ward 6, Benjamin Onoh, hailed Dr. Onoh as “one of the best grassroots leaders to come from Enugu State.”
“We are happy to have a leader like Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh working with us,” he said. “The APC in Enugu North Local Government Area is proud to have him because of his commitment to ushering in progress and development.”
In his response, Dr. Onoh praised the party leaders for their unity, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to building a stronger APC in the area. He emphasized that their collective energy would be key to driving political transformation and economic development in the state.
“Merging the Renewed Hope Agenda with the Tomorrow is Here mantra will bring exponential growth that will transform Enugu State into one of the best in the world,” Dr. Onoh stated.
He also poured encomiums on Governor Mbah, describing him as “a man of truth and the people, who always thinks about the future and the well-being of the entire state.”
Dr. Onoh called for full support for the state government under Governor Mbah, urging party members to embrace a spirit of camaraderie and inclusiveness as the party builds a united front.
“Let us work together as one family,” he added, while urging APC members to come out en masse on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, for their official reception into the party.
