Sowore was arrested by the police on Thursday shortly after leaving the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja, following his participation in the demonstration calling for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

On Tuesday, the court had remanded Ejimakor and the 11 others for allegedly “inciting public disturbance” during the protest.

Those granted bail include Emmanuel Kanu, Joshua Emmanuel, Wilson Anyalewechi, Okere Kingdom Nnamdi, Clinton Chimeneze, Gabriel Joshua, Isiaka Husseini, Onyekachi Ferdinand, Amadi Prince, Edison Ojisom, Godwill Obioma, and Chima Onuchukwu.

The 13 defendants were reportedly arrested on Monday at different locations in Abuja in connection with the protest.
