MTN Nigeria has commended the management of MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) for the remarkable improvement in power supply to its facilities in Enugu State—a development that has enabled the telecom giant to enjoy an unprecedented 338 hours of uninterrupted electricity in its operations.
The Head of Communications at MEDL, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this to newsmen in Enugu today.
Ezeh confirmed that the commendation was conveyed by the Specialist, Power System Operations (East), MTN Nigeria, Mr. Peter Yakubu.
According to him, Yakubu described the improvement in power supply as a major milestone that has significantly boosted MTN’s operations, urging MEDL to sustain the momentum.
“Thank you for recording another 338 hours uninterrupted power supply. This is another milestone! We sincerely appreciate your efforts in maintaining consistency and excellence. Your continued commitment does not go unnoticed!” Yakubu said.
Ezeh added that MTN’s commendation highlights MEDL’s vision to deliver uninterrupted and sustainable electricity to every household, business, and institution across Enugu State.
He further noted that the company envisions a future where reliable electricity becomes a catalyst for economic transformation, social development, and improved quality of life for residents of the state.
Ezeh assured MEDL customers that the company remains committed to achieving its target of 24/7 electricity supply across urban centres and commercial clusters in Enugu State by 2027, while appealing for continued public support.
MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) is a subsidiary of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) and is licensed by the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) to distribute electricity within Enugu State.
