Chief Nwabueze Nnamani has formally assumed office as the Board Chairman of the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC), with a pledge to strengthen staff welfare, enforce discipline and drive the housing vision of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

Nnamani assumed duty on Monday at the corporation’s headquarters, where he was received by the management and staff of the agency.

Addressing the workforce shortly after his assumption of office, the new chairman charged staff to remain dedicated, disciplined and professional in the discharge of their duties, stressing that productivity and commitment would define his relationship with workers.

“This is a serious institution with a serious mandate. I expect dedication, commitment and loyalty to duty from every staff member,” Nnamani said. “As long as you are committed to your responsibilities, your welfare will be my priority.”

He reminded staff that the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation plays a strategic role in the state’s development agenda, noting that his leadership would be guided strictly by the vision of Governor Peter Mbah.

“I have not come with a personal agenda. I am here to implement the vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, especially as it concerns housing delivery, urban renewal and the overall development of Enugu State,” he stated.

Nnamani emphasized that achieving the governor’s ambitious housing and infrastructure goals would require teamwork, transparency and a renewed work ethic across the corporation.

“We must work together as a team. The expectations from government and the people of Enugu State are high, and we must rise to the occasion,” he added.

Earlier, the General Manager of ESHDC, Barrister Gerald Asogwa, led members of the management team on a tour of the corporation’s facilities to familiarize the chairman with ongoing operations and projects.

Asogwa welcomed Nnamani to the corporation and assured him of the full cooperation and support of management and staff.

“We are ready to work with you and support your leadership to ensure that the corporation delivers effectively on its mandate,” Asogwa said. “Management and staff are committed to aligning with the vision of the board and the state government.”

He expressed confidence that Nnamani’s leadership would further reposition the corporation for efficiency and improved service delivery.
