The Enugu State Government has intensified efforts to position its youths for global digital opportunities through the Enugu Tech Talent (ETT) Programme, a flagship initiative aimed at training 50,000 young people annually in technology and digital skills.
In a statement issued on April 4, 2026, by the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency, the programme was described as a strategic intervention designed to build a pipeline of globally competitive tech talent across the state.
The agency said the initiative aligns with the vision of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to transform Enugu into a hub for digital innovation and youth empowerment.
“Enugu is building a generation of global tech talent, one community at a time,” the statement read.
According to the agency, the programme has continued to gain traction through widespread engagements in tertiary institutions and grassroots sensitisation campaigns across all local government areas.
“From campus engagements to grassroots sensitization across the state, the momentum behind the Enugu Tech Talent Programme continues to grow,” it stated.
Describing the initiative as more than just a training scheme, the agency added: “This is more than a programme — it is a movement.”
It noted that participants would be equipped with in-demand digital skills and exposed to real career pathways in the global technology ecosystem.
“Across every LGA, we are identifying, mobilizing, and preparing Ndi Enugu for global opportunities and digital jobs,” the statement added.
As preparations begin for the next batch of participants, the agency urged interested youths to take advantage of the opportunity.
“The future is digital. Enugu is not waiting — we are building it,” the statement concluded.
