The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise for April will hold on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with enforcement activities to be relaxed due to the nationwide NECO-BECE examinations scheduled for the same day.
In a public service announcement issued on April 22, 2026, and signed by the Managing Director of ESWAMA, Mr. Richard Onaga, the agency urged residents across the state to actively participate in the clean-up exercise by ensuring proper sanitation of their surroundings.
According to the statement, the decision to ease enforcement was taken to allow the free movement of candidates, parents, examination officials, and vehicles during the examination period.
“This month’s clean-up exercise will hold on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. However, due to the nation-wide NECO-BECE Examinations scheduled to take place the same day, enforcement activities will be relaxed to allow for the free movement of people and vehicles,” the statement read.
