Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated the governors of Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi and Rivers states on their anniversaries in office, commending their contributions to governance, development and the welfare of their people.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, led by its President-General, Senator Azuta Mbata, specifically felicitated with Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State and Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State as they marked another year in office.

In a statement issued on Friday by the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, the organisation said the anniversaries provided an opportunity to reflect on the governors’ commitment to public service and the development of their respective states.

According to the statement, the governors have demonstrated dedication to promoting good governance, infrastructure development, economic growth, peace and the overall wellbeing of their citizens.

Senator Mbata praised the four governors for their efforts in strengthening democratic governance and advancing development across their states.

“The anniversaries provide an opportunity to acknowledge their respective commitments to public service and their efforts towards promoting good governance, infrastructural development, economic growth, peace, and the welfare of their people,” he said.

The Ohanaeze President-General urged the governors to remain steadfast in pursuing policies and programmes that promote inclusive development and improve the quality of life of the people.

“He encouraged them to remain focused on policies and programmes that promote inclusive growth, social stability, accountability, and improved living conditions for the people,” the statement noted.

Mbata further stressed that responsive leadership and dedication to public service remain essential for national cohesion and sustainable development.

“Responsive leadership, sincere service, and commitment to the public good remain vital for national unity, sustainable development, and the progress of Nigeria,” he stated.

He also called on the governors to continue working collaboratively in the interest of their states and the country as a whole.

Ohanaeze expressed optimism that the governors would record even greater accomplishments in the years ahead and wished them wisdom, sound health and continued success in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The organisation reaffirmed its support for initiatives that promote peace, development and the collective progress of the people.
