The family of Engineer Emeka Lawrence Anyanyor, who passed away after an illness at a hospital in Enugu, has announced that the late engineer will be laid to rest on Friday, July 31, 2026, in his hometown of Amawa, Ogbunike, Anambra State.

Anyanyor, aged 62, an accomplished Civil Engineer, Builder and Businessman, was a close friend and longtime associate of former member of the House of Representatives, KGB Oguakwa.

According to a funeral programme released by his son, Ifechukwu Anyanyor, the burial rites will commence with a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Vincent Catholic Church Ogbunike, to be celebrated by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Akachukwu.

Following the Mass, the late engineer will be interred at the family’s compound in Amawa, while a funeral reception will be held at the field within the church premises.

Reacting to the announcement, the late Engineer’s longtime family solicitor Barrister Oguakwa, who described the deceased as his lifelong friend, called on other friends, associates and well-wishers to honour his memory by attending the burial.

He said, “I urge the teeming friends, associates and well wishers of the deceased to rally in our numbers to pay deserved last respects to this scrupulously honest, utterly selfless, incredibly hardworking and unstintingly generous man. May his soul rest in peace, amen. God Above All!”

The late Anyanyor is remembered by family, friends and associates as a respected engineer whose life was marked by dedication, integrity and service to others. His burial is expected to draw mourners from across Anambra State and beyond to celebrate his life and legacy.
