Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has moved to strengthen his grassroots political structure ahead of the 2027 general election with the appointment of two new community engagement aides.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja, the former Vice President announced the appointment of Alhaji Aliyu Bello as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement and Dr. Victor Moses as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.

The appointments, according to the statement, are aimed at deepening grassroots mobilisation, expanding stakeholder engagement and advancing the campaign’s political vision across the country.

Bello, a seasoned journalist, entrepreneur, international trader and grassroots politician, was described as an experienced public servant with a strong record in youth development and political mobilisation.

According to the statement, Bello holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and professional certifications in Leadership and Business Management. He previously served two terms as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader in Kaduna State, where he promoted youth participation in politics, before becoming the party’s Financial Secretary in the state. He later joined the ADC.

“His experience in media, entrepreneurship, politics, and community engagement positions him to strengthen youth participation and grassroots networks,” the statement said.

The statement also announced the appointment of Dr. Victor Moses, a scholar, entrepreneur and public affairs strategist with nearly two decades of experience in strategic communication, behavioural research, political mobilisation and community engagement.

It noted that Moses holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) since 2021, playing a key role in stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation.

Congratulating the new appointees, Atiku expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the campaign’s objectives.

“Atiku congratulates the two new appointees and wish them success in serving our shared vision,” the statement added.
